Anti-COD: Warco

Anti-COD: Warco

Well here’s something a bit different; a first person war photography game. It seems that you as a camera man are tasked with filming action as it happens which is then played back in the form of an Aljazeera-ish news broadcast. Aside from the fact that the scenes filmed in the trailer are nearly impossibly rediculous. I know there’s some incredibly brave phtographers out there: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jun/18/war-photographers-special-report

But even these guys wouldn’t run through direct crossfire or be able to take a bullet in the gut and then proceed to sprint arround to get a different angle on a scene.

I’ll be keen to see how the Australian developers Defiant Developments attempt to inject realism and humanism into the videogame format – it’s something rarely attempted by anyone and much support and credit should be sent to the developers.
